TURKISH PETROLEUM SUPPLIES FUEL TO IETT VEHICLES

Turkish Petroleum has won IETT’s 2018 fuel procurement tender for public transportation vehicles and started to supply diesel to metro-buses and buses owned by IETT (Istanbul Electricity, Tramway and Tunnel General Management). The contract will be valid for one year and is expected to result in the delivery of around 100,000,000 liters of fuel to IETT vehicles. 

IETT has a fleet of 3291 vehicles, consisting of 535 metrobuses and 2756 city buses. IETT picked its fuel supplier for 2018 as a result of the tender on 21.03.2018 for fuel procurement for its public transportation vehicles. 4 companies took part in the tender which Turkish Petroleum won, becoming the company that will supply diesel to IETT vehicles for one year.

TP’S BRAND NEW TANKER TRUCK FLEET TO SERVE IETT EXCLUSIVELY

Turkish Petroleum carried out a 3-month preliminary study for the business partnership between TP and IETT to be organized for the first time. It set up a tanker truck fleet to serve IETT exclusively equipped with a 24-hour tracking system monitored with cameras. In addition to this, training was offered to IETT staff working at garages about work safety and the unloading of tanker trucks.

Non-stop 24/7 delivery of fuel to IETT garages started as of April 17 and it takes place at TP Ambarlı facilities on the European side and Turkuaz Yarımca facilities on the Asian side.
